Utvecklat av USDA i Idaho 1968 och släppt 1978, är Galena en högalfasort med alltmer populära aromegenskaper.  Aromen i Galena inkluderar söta frukter, päron, ananas, svartbär, grapefrukt, lime, krusbär och kryddigt trä.
